A bronze plaque of this type is used to honor
individuals or groups of individuals. It is considered
the best
of all types of bronze plaques. A sculptor uses a
photographic image of the individuals, then sculpts
the image in clay. We then submit the images of the
clay to the customer for comments or approval to
start the casting process. Because a human sculptor
is involved in the process of creating the image,
there is a certain degree of artistic license. Hence,
we recommend a period of 8 - 12 weeks to permit our
sculptor and our customer to work out any changes
to the sculpting.
We have done bronze plaques of this type in as little
as 5 working days for the U.S. military, but the
risk for the customer increases with the shortening
of the schedule. (as a side note, we have NEVER had
a single rush sculpting rejected by any customer).
Military customers using this rush service must provide
detailed images of all insignias, medals, etc to
assure accuracy.
An alternate method of including a raised image
is to use our ImagedPlaxx process shown here.
